What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first appointment typically lasts about 60 minutes long. During this time, we will:

• Review your medical and mental health history

• Talk about your current symptoms and concerns

• Discuss your goals for treatment

• Review possible treatment options, including medications and non-medication strategies


You are encouraged to bring a list of your current medications and any prior psychiatric records if available.

The cost of therapy at Light Care Psychiatry varies depending on the type of service and insurance coverage. We offer competitive rates and accept most major insurance plans.

You can schedule an appointment by calling us, sending us a message, or booking directly through our online scheduling link.


We kindly ask that all clients cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance.


Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may result in a fee.


No-show appointments will also incur a fee.

These fees are not billable to insurance.


This policy allows us to offer appointment times to other clients who may be waiting.


Our clinic does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please do not wait for an office response. Instead:


  • Call 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
  • Call 911
  • Or go to the nearest emergency room


For urgent concerns that are not life-threatening, you may message our office, and we will respond as soon as possible during business hours.


To ensure you do not run out of medication, please request refills 5-7 business days in advance.


  • Requests can be made through your pharmacy or by messaging our clinic.
  • Some medications require a scheduled follow-up before refills can be approved.
  • Controlled medications may require more frequent appointments and cannot be refilled early.


Yes. We adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality of all client information.
